About the event
Instructor introductory biography:
BabyCakes has been a dance instructor since January 2023, blending styles with pole, floorwork, twerk, and chair dance! Along with being an instructor, BabyCakes is a passionate performer, having been featured as the opening act for the 2025 STUNNA MainStage performance for the first-ever MPF! They were also a featured dancer for the 2025 Bumbershoot performance team, and were the crown champion of the 2025 Dare to Daze competition, amongst many other opportunities they’ve had to share their love for dance throughout the community.
They love exploring and playing with musicality, contrasting and complementing movement with music. Since first approaching pole in late October 2019 and reigniting that passion in the spring of 2022, BabyCakes has come to love and respect this practice for its blend of athleticism and artistry. They approach this practice through a QTBIPOC lens, welcoming movement pathways that challenge traditions and encourage expression.
